Project Details

In 2005, construction was started for the fourth time by Kiptaş, a subsidiary of Istanbul Municipality, and completed in the summer of 2006.

The Şucauddin Mosque, built on a 186 m2 area to resemble its old appearance, has a capacity of 200 people including the entrance.
Gazi Şucauddin (meaning the brave of Islam in religious context), built in the 16th century It was built on the main street of Rogatica, along with a bazaar, in the 16th century.
It was burned and destroyed by the Serbs, along with its facilities, during the First World War.
The Şucauddin Mosque suffered the same fate during the Second World War, being once again demolished and destroyed along with its facilities.
Despite the pressures, the mosque and its surroundings were revived and restored, and reopened for service.
In 1992, history repeated itself, and the mosque and shops were once again destroyed from their foundations.
The mosque facilities consist of 4 shops, ablution areas, toilets, and a mortuary.
Additionally, the problematic Imam’s house was restored and opened for service by acquiring the adjacent 3000 m2 land along with the house on it.
